RANDOM BLOGWAGON

Alea iacta est. It’s a [rolls dice] pleasure to meet you. Be it to dice or cards, I love ceding some of my decision-making to chance. I’ve played plenty of games without any meaningful randomizing elements, and while I enjoyed them to various degrees, there is still an itch left unscratched for yours truly. Anyway, enough prologue. The point is that I hereby formally declare a new Blogwagon pursuant to the bylaws of the blogger’s creed. Subject thereto, your participation is compulsory. I do not make the rules, nor does anyone enforce them. When is the last time anyone paid their Joesky tax?

The topic of the blogwagon is Randomness. Potential jumping off prompts include: Why randomize, what to randomize, how to randomize, how does randomization facilitate the goals of player agency or verisimilitude, or here is some randomized shit. Is randomness even good ever? Does it suck? Will you let random chance decide whether or not you are pro- or anti-randomization? Go fucking crazy with it, honestly.

Initially, I was going to say that we all post on the same exact day, but that isn’t very random, even if I randomly decide the day. Instead, there will be a range, but I ask that each of you roll randomly for when you will post. Roll 1d20 for when you are REQUIRED to post on your blog about randomness. Will you fudge your roll? That is between you and your AA-approved higher power(s).
